In Ohio

We have been here in Cincinnati, Ohio since Monday. On Wednesday we had lunch with the Sturm family. They are missionaries to England and just  returned recently a for a furlough. We had a great time visiting with them. I really enjoyed talking with Amy and finding out more about life in Great Britain. They have 6 children the youngest being 2 so she gave me some idea of what having a baby there is like and homeschooling. I'm glad we've had the opportunity to meet some of the missionaries over in that part of the world. It will help having familiar faces closer than 'across the ocean.'

Yesterday I took Harry to the mall to play so Don could do some studying. After he played awhile we shared a treat. Then I stopped in a store to look at Vera Bradley purses. After a few seconds of looking around Harry said,"I don't want to stay in here, let's leave!" Kathy's a much better shopping companion!

Kathy is 14 months today. She's learned so much! She loves to jabber and play with Harry. I love this little cutie!

Still in Kentucky

Since Mother's Day we haven't traveled too far. We've been in a few more churches. Other churches that we were in last year have contacted Don and let him know they will begin supporting us. We have 27 churches supporting us so for and we're at a third of our support. Praise the Lord!
We visited my parents yesterday. We were staying in Mayfield and only had a 2 hour drive up to Elkville, Il. We had a good time just visiting and headed back to Mayfield after supper. I have enjoyed being in Kentucky and having the opportunity to visit them so much.
Today we're in Peducah, Ky.  It's really nice out, but I'm preferring our air-conditioned room right now. We've already seen some of the town since we had some time before checking in to our room. I found a really great accessories store at  the mall and was 'forced' by Don to buy some jewelry!
All is quiet now, the kids are napping. Life is good! :-)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  I am so thankful for my mom and mother-in-law! I am also thankful that God has given me two children that call me 'mom.'

A new blog

We're now in Kentucky. The weather had been beautiful the past two days. Before that we had tons of rain!!  Even though I do not like a  lot of rain and the flooding is not good everything is so green!
We're so close to my parents here that we made a quick trip to see them. They also came to a preacher's meeting that we're currently attending. It's been great to see them so much!
Harry and Kathy are still a handful! :)  Kathy is trying to talk. She jabbers a lot, but has recently started recognizing other words like 'dog,' 'ball,' and 'bye-bye.' She loves playing with Harry and watching him and following him around. He doesn't always like so much attention from her!
It's funny the things Harry comes up with. Just last night he was telling us that when he grows up and daddy grows down he'll be as big as daddy. Then he thought that if daddy grows down he would be able to sit in the car seat! I think Harry doesn't want to sit in the car seat anymore!

Have a great day everyone!!!
